Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains what information IN THE HOUSE LLC, doing business as IN THE HOUSE ("we," "us"), collects through our website and app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, password (stored securely and never visible to us), and sign-in details if you use Google sign-in.
- Preferences: the area you choose and the categories you're interested in, so we can show you relevant businesses.
- Location: only when you tap Near me, your device shares its current location so we can sort businesses by distance. We use it on the spot and don't save it to your account.
- Activity: the codes you reveal and redeem, the business, the date and the amount the business enters at checkout; your punch cards (including banked punches), rewards and referrals; and the private ratings you give a business after redeeming.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and billing history, not your full card number.
- Businesses: owner name and contact details, business details, license number where required, application answers, photos and offer details.
- Ambassadors: application details and, before any payout, tax information collected through our tax-form provider. We don't store Social Security numbers in our app.
- Business page taps: when anyone taps Call, Directions, Website or Instagram on a business page, we count the tap for that business. We store the business, the type of tap and whether the visitor was logged in, not who it was.
- Technical data: basic device and log information our hosting provider records to run and secure the Service.
2. How we use it
- To run your account, show offers and businesses, record redemptions and punch cards, and deliver rewards.
- To process payments and referral credits or commissions.
- To review business applications and keep the Service safe from fraud and misuse.
- To send service emails (for example, your reward or a billing notice) and, only if you opt in, occasional updates you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To understand how the Service is used and improve it, using combined, non-identifying data where possible.
3. Who we share it with
- The business you redeem with: when you redeem a code, that business sees your name, the redemption and the amount it entered. Businesses see redemption totals and tap counts for their own listing, not your activity elsewhere. Businesses never see your ratings.
- Our reward partner: when you claim a reward, you enter your details on the partner's claim page, and its terms apply to that reward.
- Service providers who help us run the Service, such as hosting (Bubble), payments (Stripe), email delivery (SendGrid), maps (Google) and tax forms. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and IN THE HOUSE.
- Business changes: if IN THE HOUSE is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open and as needed to provide the Service, keep financial records, resolve disputes and follow the law. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
5. Your choices
- Update your details in your account at any time.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any email.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private.
7. Children
The Service is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. If changes are significant, we'll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
